If you were born between 6th October 1954 and 5th April 1960 then your retirement age (i.e. the age at which you can claim your state pension) is age 66 both for men and for women.
To clarify further, your retirement age is as follows:
Born between 6th October 1954 and 31st December 1954 – you were able to claim your state pension in 2020 on you 66th birthday.
If you were born in 1955 then you can claim your state pension in 2021 on your 66th birthday.
If you were born in 1956 then you can claim your state pension in 2022 on your 66th birthday.
If you were born in 1957 then you can claim your state pension in 2023 on your 66th birthday.
If you were born in 1958 then you can claim your state pension in 2024 on your 66th birthday.
If you were born in 1959 then you can claim your state pension in 2025 on your 66th birthday.
If you were born on or before 5th April 1960 then you can claim your state pension in 2026 on your 66th birthday.
